We are delighted to announce that Kate Ingleby-Das has been appointed as the new manager of the Cirencester Cyber Cafe, three months after the position became free.
Bob Morris, a Director of the Cyber Cafe said: “This really is fantastic news, over the past few months we’ve had a steady amount of interest but no candidates really stood out. Kate was by far the stand out candidate.”
Kate has spent the last five years working with children in India and is currently living in Gloucester.
She joins the team of eight volunteers, one of those volunteers, Pat Dew, said “I’m thrilled about Kate’s appointment, I was really worried we might not find anyone and have to close.”
Former volunteer, Joe Harris, and now the country’s youngest Councillor said “I’m really happy to hear about Kate’s appointment, I was growing increasingly concerned about the welfare of young people who use the Cyber Cafe. Now Kate can further extend the role the Cafe play’s in the community.”
Kate begins her new role on Monday 31st October, we look forward to seeing the good work she can do for Cirencester’s young people.
