SUNDAY WORSHIP is the focal point of our life together. We use a wide range of songs and hymns drawing on the best of old and new. Each service includes the reading of scripture and prayer. At the heart of our worship is the preaching of God’s word, which is designed to help Christians live out their faith in the world.
Every service is recorded on cassette, CD and video, and copies are normally available for loan or purchase. For more details see our sermon notes page.
^ top ^Morning Service
Our morning service of worship is at 10.00 a.m. The building is usually full with around 250 adults and children of all ages. Everyone joins together for the first part of the service, then the children and young people leave for their own teaching and activities programme. There is a crèche for very young children.
We usually have a communion service on the third Sunday morning of each month. This forms an integral part of our worship. All who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and are seeking to live in fellowship with him are warmly invited to share the bread and wine.
Refreshments are served for everyone after the service.
^ top ^Evening Service
We meet for worship on Sunday evenings at 6.30 p.m. This second service of the day is usually quieter and more reflective than the lively atmosphere at the morning event with around 50 in attendance. We do not currently offer a children’s programme or crèche facilities at the evening service.
^ top ^All-Age Worship
On the second Sunday morning each month we have a service of worship designed for all-ages. The whole church family stay together, and the teaching material is designed for adults and children alike. There is a crèche facility for babies, but even the very youngest among us are welcome to join in the service!
We aim to keep our All-Age worship service to an hour’s duration.

Baptismal Services
In accordance with the New Testament pattern, the baptism of believers is also a central part of our Christian life together. Baptismal services are occasions of great joy and celebration, as the candidate makes his or her profession of Christian faith and responds to the Lord’s command to be baptised. Baptismal services are incorporated into our regular pattern of morning and evening worship.
^ top ^Youth-Led Services
Our young people regularly lead worship, usually on a Sunday evening. From time to time these services are town-wide involving young people from other churches in the district. For more information about Youth Services, please contact Rev'd Bob Morris.
^ top ^Super Rota
All of the rotas for teams that serve us for our Sunday services have been combined into one "Super Rota". So, whether you are involved in children’s ministry, serving coffee, the worship band, doing the flowers or whatever else, you will find your dates on this rota. Inevitably, over the 3 month period of the rota there will be changes and swaps. Please inform the office of these and the master copies can be changed. The one on the wall in the foyer at Coxwell Street will be kept updated, as will the downloadable copy below...
