We really are convinced that prayer is at the centre of the Christian life – and we seek (not always successfully) to pray about everything – and at every opportunity. Here are some of the ways we get together to pray:
Prayer Meetings
We meet together for prayer every Friday morning at 7pm on Zoom for about an hour to pray for our world, our church and ourselves.
We also meet together informally for prayer and praise on the first Saturday morning of each month at 8:00am, and often conclude by sharing a simple breakfast.
The Prayer Breakfast provides an opportunity to join with others in praying for the needs of the world, the nation and our local community. We also pray for one another within the church family.
The Prayer Breakfast is co-ordinated by one of our church members, Miranda Rigley. Everyone is welcome.
Prayer Team
After each Sunday service there is an opportunity to receive personal prayer. Our Prayer Ministry Team comprises church members who are gifted and trained for this ministry. Prayer ministry appointments can also be arranged independently.
The Prayer Ministry Team is co-ordinated by Kathy Macnamara.
Telephone Prayer Chain
We believe that prayer changes things. The Bible encourages those who know and trust God to cast their anxieties upon him.
The telephone prayer chain offers a quick response to urgent prayer needs. The chain is composed of dedicated Christians within the church who promise to pray confidentially for matters referred to them.
If you would like to submit a prayer request to the Telephone Prayer Chain, then please e-mail this to our Church Office. All requests will be treated confidentially.
If you are requesting prayer for someone else, please ensure that you have their permission before releasing any personal information, alternatively pass on basic details together with just a Christian name.
