Cirencester’s local newspaper has just covered the launch of the Street Pastors scheme in our town. 16 members of five churches in Cirencester (including four folk from CBC) have been trained over the last few months to begin stepping out late on Saturday nights onto the streets of Cirencester. Their purpose is befriend, help and pray for people in need of some help who are out on the town.
The Street Pastors initiative is now running in 150 locations around the UK, and we are excited that Churches Together in Cirencester have been inspired to launch it here. The first team will be going out onto the streets in the next fortnight.
