Have you got questions? Who is God? Why are we here? Why is there suffering? Alpha is the place to ask questions, and explore the answers.
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. There are around ten or eleven in total and a weekend/day away. Each session covers a different question that people might have about faith. The sessions are designed to create conversation – there’s no pressure or charge; it’s just an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.
At CBC, we host Alpha together with Churches Together in Cirencester (CTIC). We have been running 1 or 2 courses a year for over 10 years now, and each time the venue is Jesse’s Bistro in Cirencester (by very kind permission of the owners.) The restaurant provides a wonderful place to share a meal together and explore different questions and aspects of the Christian faith each week. The volunteers running the course bring food to heat up at the restaurant, so the cost of attending the course is free for guests.
In the past courses have typically had around 20 guests in 3 groups. Many have become Christians and we have seen numerous miracles and answers to prayer.
